Choose booth.events if:

• your entire workflow is centred on iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Macs and you have no plan to leave that ecosystem;
• a short learning curve and its cloud AI implementation (including reference-image prompts on Pro+) are priorities;
• its published plan and device allowances (especially Pro+ with four iPads/Macs + unlimited iPhones) fit your fleet.

• you need Android, Windows or Linux as well as Apple devices under one licence;
• offline processing and true internet-free guest delivery via Scanpix matter at venues with poor connectivity;
• mirror booth with built-in themes, wider GoPro coverage (7–13) or permanent-install workflows on Raspberry Pi/Linux are part of your offer.

Platform breadth is still the clearest difference

booth.events supports iPhone, iPad and Mac, but it does not publish Android, Windows or Linux booth apps — and the Mac app requires macOS 14.2 or later on Apple M1 or newer, so Intel Macs are out too.

Every decision you make from here is downstream of that:

• Every new capture booth stays inside the Apple device ecosystem, at Apple hardware prices.
• Permanent installs in bars and venues have to be built on an iPad or an Apple silicon Mac, where a Raspberry Pi or an inexpensive Android tablet would do the job for a fraction of the cost.
• A DSLR station driven by a Windows laptop — the standard build for high-volume corporate work — is not possible.
• If a client's brief calls for hardware outside that lane, you would need a second platform to serve it.

Touchpix covers iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux. Build booths on whatever hardware makes commercial sense, run them all from one licence, unlimited devices.

Separate cloud AI from offline background removal

booth.events' generative AI prompts and portraits use cloud services and credits — NanoBanana Pro 2K, with reference-image upload on Pro+. Its SceneSelect background removal is different: the booth.events homepage states that this workflow works offline.

Touchpix performs background removal offline (no internet needed) and delivers photos to guests with no internet at all via Scanpix on Apple and Android. Photo AI is included from the entry plan; video, slow motion and boomerang start on MultiPass at US$879.99/year. Touchpix also offers AI Face Replacement, whose offline version is available on Mac.

Both platforms therefore have an offline background-removal workflow. Touchpix's additional differentiator is internet-free guest delivery through Scanpix.

A 3-event trial isn't a trial

booth.events gives you 3 free events with full Pro features — "Try Pro with 3 FREE events" — capped at 100 photos, with SMS limited to the USA and Canada.
