The Pixcut Sticker Printer prints and cuts. Your booth composes a full sticker sheet from the guest's photos, the Pixcut prints it, and a blade then traces each sticker's outline so guests can peel them off right there.

This guide covers what you need, how to connect it, and how to switch on the Stickers session.

What you need

- Liene PixCut S1 Printer (https://www.liene-life.com/collections/pixcut-s1-machine-and-materials)
- Pixcut paper and ribbon
- Touchpix for Windows, v1.3.0+ (v1.3.2+ for multi-printer integration). Get it from our Downloads page.

You do not need to install anything else. The Pixcut software ships inside the Touchpix Windows app.

Step 1: Connecting the printer

1. Connect the Pixcut to your Windows booth over USB and switch it on (long press the power button until it starts to blink white).
2. In the booth, open Settings → Print & Sharing → Pixcut.
3. Press Connect next to Printer 1.

The status will move from Connecting to Connected. If it does not, see Troubleshooting below.

Using two printers

You can connect up to two Pixcut printers. Sheets are sent automatically to whichever printer is free, which roughly halves the wait at busy events. Connect the second unit the same way, under Printer 2.

Pixcut settings

These appear once a printer is connected, under Settings → Print & Sharing → Pixcut. The default values work well for most setups; only change them if your cuts need adjusting.

- Cut pressure: How hard the blade presses. Too low and stickers will not separate cleanly; too high and the blade cuts through the backing.
- Margin, Padding, Left margin: Margin — the white border cut around each sticker, in millimetres. Padding — the gap between stickers on the sheet, in millimetres. Left margin — the left paper margin, in millimetres.
- Perforation cut: Cuts a dashed line instead of a continuous one, with its own pressure, dash length and gap.
- Background image: Artwork printed behind the stickers on the sheet.
- Cut preview: Before sending a real job, shows the composed sheet with the cut paths drawn in red. Worth using the first time you run a new sticker sheet. You can still print from that preview.

Step 2: Switching on the Stickers session

1. Go to Photo Functions and enable Stickers. This puts the Stickers button on the Touchpix home screen.
2. Go to Photo AI → Stickers to choose which sticker sheets the session offers.

Only Sticker sessions can be printed on the Pixcut.

Step 3: Choosing sticker sheets

Under Photo AI → Stickers you can add two kinds of sheet:

- AI sticker sheets: Generated from a prompt, so the stickers match your event's theme. Pick from the preset library or write your own prompt.
- Photo strip templates: Your own artwork, with the guest's captures dropped into it.

Use Manage Sticker Sheets to remove a sheet you no longer want offered. If you add more than one, the guest picks which sheet they want during the session.

You're now ready to go!

What the guest sees

1. They tap Stickers on the home screen.
2. They choose a sticker sheet. If you have only offered one, the selection screen is skipped and the session starts straight away.
3. They take their photo(s).
4. The booth composes the sheet and shows it on the sharing screen.
5. They press Print. The progress screen shows which printer has the job and its live status, then closes on its own when the sheet is done.

Pixcut is its own print method: while it is selected in Print & Sharing, the booth prints sticker sheets rather than photos, and the Print button follows the Pixcut's connection.

Troubleshooting

- "Pixcut server unreachable": The Pixcut software did not start. Restart the Touchpix app. If it persists, restart the computer.

- "Server up, printer not detected": The software is running but cannot see the printer. Check the USB cable and that the printer is powered on, then press Connect again.

- No Print button on the sharing screen: The Pixcut is not connected. Check the status under Settings → Print & Sharing → Pixcut.

- Printer shows "Needs attention": The printer is reporting a problem of its own. The exact message is shown on the print progress screen, with an error code:

Error 5401: Out of paper. Refill or replace the paper cassette.
Error 5306: No paper cartridge installed. Insert the cartridge.
Error 8101: Ink ribbon empty. Replace the cartridge.
Error 8102: No ink ribbon installed. Insert a ribbon cartridge.
Error 5414: Wrong paper stock for this job. The printer will jam; open the bottom panel to remove the paper, power cycle, and retry with the correct stock.
Error 8011: The printer rejected the job and is likely in an error state. Power it off and back on, then retry.

For the paper and ribbon errors (5306, 5401, 8101, 8102), the printer picks up where it left off once you fix the problem. The sheet finishes on its own and does not need reprinting. Errors 5414 and 8011 need the job to be sent again.

- Printer shows "Not responding": The printer stopped answering mid-event. Check power and USB, then reconnect.

- Stickers do not separate cleanly, or tear when peeled: Adjust Cut pressure. Raise it if stickers stay attached, lower it if the backing is being cut through.

- Cuts are offset from the artwork: Adjust Left margin to shift the layout across the sheet. Use Cut preview to check before printing.
