“Airdrop” is the only available sharing method & not uploading to cloud

If you’re recording videos with your GoPro camera and encounter the issue of only seeing Airdrop as an option when trying to share them, it’s likely because you’re recording in 4K resolution. The 4K videos are not allowed to be uploaded to cloud and, together, videos can not be shared via SMS, WhatsApp or email.

When using the GoPro Hero models 11, 11 mini, and 12, you need to be cautious about how they are configured. These GoPro models offer two control modes: “Easy” and “Pro”. The default control setting is “Easy” mode, which provides optimized 4K resolution videos with a simple click of the record button. However, Touchpix requires the GoPro to be set in “Pro” mode to access and update various GoPro Protune settings, including resolution, FPS, and more. Touchpix automatically switches your GoPro camera to “Pro” mode, but there are times the instruction is not followed by the camera or newer models of cameras are being used. Until the next Touchpix update we recommend to set your camera into “Pro” mode manually. To do so:

  1. Turn on your GoPro camera.
  2. From the top of your camera screen, slide your finger down and a the settings menu will appear.
  3. Slide your finger from right to left.
  4. Spot the “Control: Easy” button, tap on it and switch it to Pro.
  5. You’re ready to use your GoPro in fully.

If the issue persists, you’ll have to consider reviewing your event template. It might be a 4K template.
