Recommended branding file format and dimensions

Touchpix allows full customization of both the app and web gallery elements, see how edit them. Below, are the recommended file formats and dimensions for each customizable option. Following these guidelines will ensure your designs are optimized for the best visual quality and performance across both platforms, creating a smooth and visually appealing user experience.

We recommend starting by determining your device’s screen dimensions.

Where to find your device’s screen resolution

Most apps automatically resize uploaded images to fit the screen, but this can cause issues when using a background designed for an iPad on an iPhone or vice versa. Differences in screen aspect ratios can lead to stretched or compressed images, distorting their original proportions. To avoid this, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Open the settings on your iOS or Android device.
  2. Navigate to “General > About” (iOS) or “About phone” (Android) to find your device model.
  3. Visit DeviceSpecifications and search your device model.
  4. In the “Specifications” tab, navigate to the “Display” section and find the “Resolution” details (provided in portrait orientation).

For example, if you search for “iPhone 16 Pro Max,” the resolution is 1320 × 2868 pixels. To design screen backgrounds for portrait orientation, use these values. If designing for landscape orientation, simply swap the values to 2868 × 1320 pixels for optimal results.
